TRANG – The scenic road linking Chang Lang and Chao Mai beaches will be improved to ensure visitors can better enjoy the lovely pine tree-tunnel.

Both sides of the five-kilometre road are already lined with pine trees more than 100 years old. The Trang Rural Roads office will develop the road as a new tourism landmark as the route leads to several attractions in the province including a hot spring, Yao and Yong Ling beaches. The road also leads to piers for boat trips to surrounding islands like Koh Muk, Koh Libong and Koh Kradan.
Chao Mai National Park has already approved the improvements to the road – trimming the pine trees, planting more flowers and creating view-point parking bays.
A pilot project will first be launched on a one-kilometre section of the road, with the plan being to extend the project along the entire length.
